- Ischemia is a restriction in blood supply, generally due to factors in the blood vessels, with resultant damage or dysfunction of tissue. Necrosis is the name given to unnatural death of cells and living tissue. It begins with cell swelling, chromatin digestion, and disruption of the plasma membrane and organelle membranes. Late necrosis is characterized by extensive DNA hydrolysis, vacuolation of the endoplasmic reticulum, organelle breakdown, and cell lysis.
- yes my answer is the same as PETER S.
- Ischemia is local anaemia (lack of haemoglobin) that leads to oxygen deprivation and cell death, blood vessel obstruction causes local oxygen starvation (ischemia) leads to massive tissue death, dead tissue is called an infarct, you can get subsequent heart failure from post infact tissue repair and remodelling. Necrosis is cell death by accident or trauma..
