Hypoxia and Medicine

is there a good site to find out about copd with acute hypoxia?

could it be called something else? pt had trach/peg and went on a vent for 12 days and just got off he has a history of emphysema but was diagnosed with COPD. AcuteRespFailure was going to be my med diagnosis for what happened. Does that make sense im not sure if he will be discharged home or to subacute ecf assisted living or rehab

1. COPD is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. It can be any/all of the 3, bronchitis, emphysema or asthma. Acute hypoxia is low oxygenation. Maybe search Web MD, or just google it? *****Edit***** Why not ask the doctor how they are diagnosing the patient?
