scared of a brain tumor!?

I'm 17 years old and I'm really scared that I have a brain tumor. Since June 2007, I've suffered from almost-daily headahces. In July '07, the CT scan of my brain came back clear; I'm still suffering with headaches. My other symptoms include: short-term memory loss (I can hardly remember anything; long-term memory is fine); vision problems; occasionally feeling like I'm going to pass out when I stand up; fatigue; a feeling of slight pain, discomfort, or fullness in my ears; and an occasional feeling of weakness in my arms. As far as previous medical conditions, I have a thyroid problem (hyperthyroidism at the moment; I just got my levels checked the other day and I am waiting for the results); I have astigmatism (I'm getting my contacts very soon); and I have an occasionally misaligned neck. Do I have anything to worry about? My symptoms have still lasted even though my CT apparently was clean. I'm so scared. Any help would be appreciated. I've also been very cold for the past few days, and I've been seeing colorful spots on occasion (like what you see after you have your picture taken). Yes, I do see an endocrinologist; I'm also able to test my blood at any time (my father is a diabetic), but my blood sugar is absolutely perfect every time. I check it both when I'm feeling "normal"' or when I'm feeling dizzy and a little off.

  1. I doubt you have a brain tumor if you have some health issues already that could be causing your symptoms and your CT scan came back clear. If you haven't already, talk to a neurologist or any doctor to see what it could be besides the brain tumor.
  2. Well, your other conditions are probably causing most of those symptoms. I would get your memory issues checked out. The rest just sounds like full on hypochodria. I have it and I've had a lot of treatment for it, so I recognize the symptoms. Your mind convinces your body that you are sick and gives you aches and pains, lots of dizziness and tingling in your arms like they've fallen asleep. You feel the fatigue from the stress of it all. I would see a doctor regardless. You can't rule out a brain issue, but most likely, you're tumor free.
  3. I had a brain tumor. It was removed last May. I also had a tumor come up in my Thyroid (after the brain tumor was removed) Do you see a Neurologist and an Endocrinogolist? I would definately get an apt with an Endocronologist. HAve tou ever had your blood sugar checked for diabeties? My tumor showed up clear on all the tests. A radiologist and then a doctor both read them. I would definately go to the Endocrinologist. Get a good check-up from him or her, but I am thinking you dont have a tumor. I can tell you, hope for anything else. I am betting since you have the misaligned neck and a problem with your eyes, you are suffering from a type of migrane. Please get yourself checked out by a specialist though.... Ask for a mild arthritis medicine and see if that will help.
