2. An ischemia occurs when there is a lack of blood circulation/oxygen to the brain. This could cause brain injury if left untreated.
3. ischemia is any condition where a particular tissue in your body isn't receiving enough oxygen due to lack of blood flow. Cerebral ischemia is when parts of your brain are not receiving the oxygen they need. Usually this is caused by something obstructing an artery, like strangulation. It can also be caused by disease. If one's brain does not get the oxygen it needs, a person can become unconscious, have brain damage, and in some cases, die. Hope this helps. Craig
