Hypoxia can be treated with medication but will it occur again after stopping of medication?
Hypoxia, when the brain wasn't able to tell that there's enough oxygen supply in the respiratory system. The brain kept on telling the patient to breathe harder even though oxygen supply is enough.

- In this case you will need to take the meds. until the condition becomes stable. Then you might not have to take meds. anymore. However, there is the possibility you will be on meds. the rest of your life if the problem can't be fixed. Or they might have you try different methods such as breathing into a bag to inhale more carbon dioxide- other remedies such as this. Or perhaps you'll have to come to the hospital every so often to be treated.
- Symptoms Symptoms of generalized hypoxia depend on its severity and speed of onset. In the case of altitude sickness, where hypoxia develops gradually, the symptoms include headaches, fatigue, shortness of breath, and nausea. In severe hypoxia, or hypoxia of very rapid onset, changes in levels of consciousness, seizures, coma and death occur. Severe hypoxia induces a blue discolouration of the skin, called cyanosis (haemoglobin is blue when it is not bound to oxygen (deoxyhaemoglobin), as opposed to the rich red colour that it has when bound to oxygen (oxyhaemoglobin)). In cases where the oxygen is displaced by another molecule, such as carbon monoxide, the skin may be 'cherry red' instead of cyanotic.
