Do I have lung cancer?
I do not have insurance and medicaid dropped me. A year ago they found a nodule in my lung. I had a few more scans and to my surprise it had grown. It is very small at 7 cm a year ago. At the last appt. they also said there were lymphnodes that were apparent. Now today I go to the ER for vomiting and they run blood work. Doc comes back and tells me I have low white blood count around 3. I am guessing 3,000. I also have a low oxygen/blood saturation. It was suppose to be in the high 90's and mine was between 70-85. I remember when I was in the hospital for surgery if it had dropped the gave me oxygen. I just do not know whats wrong. I am at a loss. I should mention I am only 28 yrs old

- Ummm Im no doctor but i think you might
- I really don't think Yahoo Answers is going to give you the medical expertise that you need. I suggest you go to someone qualified to answer this question if you are really concerned.
- i hope not but you might :S
- Lukz lyk ur gona die... since u dnt need em kan i hav sum of ur pntz. JK feel better. Ya Digg.
- Go back to the ER and ask them to give you a diagnosis and to give you treatment options. You need information and since you do not have insurance you are in a bind. If the ER is no help find out if there is a Federally Qualified Health Center where you live. You can go there and get help. Go to Google and enter FQHC and then see what pops up and see if there is one in your town or nearby. Do not delay! Good luck!
- Oh I'm sorry. I'm definitely no doctor but It doesn't sound good. Do you breathe ok? I thought if your o2 sat was low it would be obvious because of trouble breathing, but like I said , I'm no doctor. Its hard on us people without medical insurance, especially when something like that happens.I don't know what to say except if you start getting sick go to the emergency room. Good luck and God bless. Hope everything is okay.
- The fact that it grew and now your white blood cells are low you might have cancer. First you need to get in touch with a doctor and have them run test to confirm. The sooner you get started on treatment (provided you do have cancer) the better. With Medicaid contact your social services dept. Find out why they dropped you and how you can get it back. Even if you can't get Medicaid, there are other programs that help people with cancer get what they need. The cancer association of America is one of them. Most important is DO NOT AVOID GETTING TREATMENT BECAUSE OF HEALTH INSURANCE. YOUR HEALTH IS WAY MORE IMPORTANT...
- Research the medical sites on the Internet. Have you considered / asked about TB? Try that. Definitely do not spend time worrying about it without research and advice.
- It is difficult to say whether it is cancer or not. However, based on your stats, you do need medical attention. Low white blood count can turn a simple cold into pnemonia and possibly become life-threatening. To be honest, a 7 cm nodule is fairly large. There have been many cases of these being around the size of a dime and being extremely harmful. You do need medical attention. You probably should have a biopsy taken as well as testing your CEA levels. If your CEA levels are above a 5, then you definitely need to take this nodule out. I know no insurance makes things tough, but it is something you must do. This could be life-threatening and you have to find a way to make it work. Good luck.
- might be it seems like alsum because if it grows but keep praying or believing tha ot is not
