Can a 16 year old male have female-type periods?

Hello, my friend is wondering this I am a 16 year old male born on October in 1993. Senior in Highschool this year. Since the ending of Middle School/Beginning of High School i've been getting into a physical and mental state once or more a month. Typically my symptoms include: Cramps or cramping of lower abdominal. Mood swings (Angry to depressed to happy all within an hour) Headaches/migraines Nausea Snapping at people for little to no reason Is it possible for me to have a female-like period but be male. I should also add I want to be a Trans-girl and stop pre-op. Also, I still like females. Now I thought power of suggestion or hoping of wanting to be a female so badly makes me feel these symptoms. Except for the fact that this feeling to be a girl as powerful as this only started about half a year ago when these period-like symptoms began about 4 or so years ago. Is there a name for this as a medical condition, or are these all symptoms of something else? Once again, I do not bleed from any orifice. I kinda want a definitive answer as my parents are homophobic and don't want them to think anything about me which could view me as gay and have them not like me. Well i'd like to mention it's not just mental, but physical. I get nausea and sick feeling. And the cramps hurt pretty badly. I do get headaches normally, however these are almost unbearable. Any doctors have any idea?

  1. Um...you're not gay....................... I think you're just like super hormornal or something
  2. Men and boys have cycles similar to girls and women. Generally speaking the male cycle last about 6 weeks. But, yes, men and boys have physiological and emotional cycles.
  3. I never heard anything like this, maybe it because you want to be a girl. I don't know hun, go see a doctor and maybe you'll get further answers. Or the next answer might help.
  4. I think all men have hormonal cycles just like women and have a "time of the month" where they are particulary crabby and maybe they feel a bit sick. I'm not 100% it's probably best to get checked by a doctor just to make sure everything is cool :)
  5. You have too much estrogen thats all, try working out or playing outside more and releasing stress, masturbating and video games help...
