Doctors Who Will Prescribe Medical Marijuana in ONTARIO, CANADA?

I just got form B-2 for a medical marijuana license. I have had severe depression, anxiety and insomnia since I was 9 (due to traumatic events) and my condition will never go away. My family doctor is aware of my marijuana use and is COMPLETELY against using marijuana in any from. Is there any way for me to get a different doctor to fill out the forms with me? I'm willing to travel within province to do so, but I can't seem to find any doctors who are "pro-pot" :( HELP!! Ok, so maybe I haven't been very clear. I have been bounced from anti-depressant to anti-depressants for thirteen years now (my family doctor is a pill-pusher who only recommends his patients to OTHER pill-pushers). My marijuana use is limited to situations where I have to go out of my house (like classes, grocery shopping, work) because of my anxiety; and before bedtime to ease me into sleep & to reduce my dream recollection.

  1. Its very unlikely that a doctor would prescribe a recreation user marijuana for claimed depression. Marijuana is rarely prescribed for glaucoma and MS only An antidepressant may be what you need to ask for.
  2. Read this and see if it helps... http://www.cannabisculture.com/v2/articles/1398.html http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/marihuana/index-eng.php Good-luck. I smoke but it is not for medical reasons. You could always move to Amsterdam, where it is legal.
  3. I know of a man in his sixties who has had a heart attack and severe depression who has been asked by a specialist if he would a prescription for medical marijuana, he said no at first but then he and his family discussed it and deemed it does help so he went to his family doctor for the script and the family doctor does not believe in the ability of marijuana so his doctor gave him more antidepressants, mood stabilizers and 3 or more pain meds including oxycontin. He is now trying to get his doctor to send him back to the specialist but his family doctor is dragging his heels. This man is in his 60's owns his own home and business and is a grandfather, father, and husband, overall a wonderful man. What gives this family doctor the right. It should be legal to grow, possess and enjoy alcohol is legal to produce, possess and enjoy, marijuana should also be.
