Hypoxia and Medicine

What might be causing this medical condition?

For about a week now my father has been experiencing moderate to severe dizziness, and insomnia. He's having issues tilting his head back etc. Any suggestions on what might be going on here. This was completely out of no where, and we cant seem to find a trigger. He is going to the doctor this week, but we are just curious. He's not prone to ear issues, etc. so we are puzzled as to the onset of these symptoms. He also just had Radiofrequency Ablation on his back about 2 months ago, can that cause complications?
