- I loved that book, and I read it when I was 15. You should be pretty mature since there's at least one scene that some parents might think is inappropriate, and you should be aware that the around the middle is fairly slow. If you're familiar with the TV show, it's really nothing like it. Johnny, the main character, can sense what has happened or what will happen by touching things. However, unlike in the show, it's really never, ever a good experience. Without giving too much away, the main character is in a coma for about 4 years, and as he sleeps his whole life changes. It's a good read, and my favorite by Stephen King that I've read. It's not a literary masterpiece or anything, but it will probably make you think, in a good way.
