Why do people living in high altitudes more vulnerable to the suns ultraviolet rays?

  1. The air is thinner, so more rays get through.
  2. As the above answer pointed out, the atmosphere up here is a lot thinner than at sea level and so blocks less of the light. You generally have a much better view of the stars at night as well.
