Fatigue over the past months?

Not sure offhand how long this has been lasting, but I am always fatigued for some reason. It does not matter if I sleep 3 hours or 12. I wake up still tired and with morning stiffness and occassional muscle pain. I also have stomach pains followed by diarrhea every now and then. As for physical activity, that also plays a factor. I bowl a few times a week and am usually fine as long as I don't bowl on back to back days. When I play basketball, football, or something that is pretty physically demanding, I am sore and at times, in pain. The last couple of times I played basketball, it lasted for 3-4 days. My mom has fibromyalgia and I have heard that the two are often related. I am not sure if it is genetic or not. According to what I've read, my symptoms apply to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and also partially to MS. I am in the process of moving and need to move my medical files to another doctor's office. Honestly, this scares me because my symptoms apply to 2 serious conditions. Has anyone else had similar symtoms? If so, how did it turn out? For the record, I'm 21

  1. You could just have a low iron level; anemia. If your diet is low in meat and leafy green vegetables, your iron level will be low. You could also have fibromyalgia or the other conditions you listed. Your thyroid level may be off too. I'd make an appointment with a doctor as soon as possible. The anemia and thyroid level can be checked through simple blood work. Best of luck! Praying you get a diagnosis for your symptoms soon.
