what type of medical conditions are common for those that get medical marijuana?

i want to get my medical marijuana card but dont really have any medical problems except for high stress and insomnia. i smoke as often as possible but i am responsible with it too. i only smoke at home and never before work or around family. i have been arrested for possession once before and would like to avoid going to jail again because i will NEVER stop smoking(i might put it on pause for a while though) so if i went to see a doctor about getting my medical card, what type of condition should i complain about without actually having a serious disease like cancer or aids? and where can i find a doctor that will prescribe? i live in california and have no kids but am very stressed. no job and little money means i am losing my hair at a rapid pace

  1. The most common disease is glaucoma, which is a high pressure in your eyes. Not some thing that you can fake successfully. But, Stress is a good reason for a medmar card. Go see a shrink or psychiatrist. Complain to them that such high levels of stress are giving you very frequent and bad headaches. Tell him/her that no type of headache medicine is helping and he/she might consider it. Marijuana does lower the bodies blood pressure, thus, relieving you of your "headache" But make sure to mention it to him/her and have him/her write a note to your doctor. By the way, there are only two states left that allow medmar cards. Cali being one of them and the other I think is Connecticut.
  2. stress should do it
  3. I smoked almost everyday for around 3 years (Uni)! After being forced to stop due to a family holliday, I noticed that I felt less stressed and more refreshed on waking in the morning. I only smoke when I feel like it now which is usually 2-3 x month. I'm not preaching by the way.... Medical conditions - MS, glaucoma, fibromyalgia, any chronic pain syndromes, cancer, HIV/AIDs, and drug addiction (opiates). Most impossible to fake but fibromyalgia is a clinical diagnosis meaning that there is no test.
  4. Since you did not state where you live, I'm assuming you live in the same country and state I do. Therefore, there is no such thing as "medical marijuana". If you live somewhere else, the laws vary on this, and you will need to check with a doctor that will prescribe it to see what conditions qualify.
  5. I really do not want to judge you but your willingness to lie to get a marijuana medical card is indicative that you may be addicted to it. I've smoked weed for six years and I can tell you that marijuana does not releive stress. If anything it causes it.
  6. Normally you need a serious or chronic medical condition. Still I know people who have obtained a cannabis card because they claim to have migraines or back pain. Anxiety and stress related conditions sometimes qualify too. Check out the link below they pretty much spell it out. C. Eligible medical conditions: "Serious Medical Condition" "Serious medical condition" means all of the following medical conditions: Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS); Anorexia; Arthritis; Cachexia; Cancer; Chronic pain; Glaucoma; Migraine; Persistent muscle spasms, including, but not limited to, spasms associated with multiple sclerosis; Seizures, including, but not limited to, seizures associated with epilepsy; Severe nausea; Any other chronic or persistent medical symptom that either: Substantially limits the ability of the person to conduct one or more major life activities as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-336); and If not alleviated, may cause serious harm to the patent's safety or physical or mental health.
  7. i have a buddy that lives in oceanside who went to a doctor and said he had trouble concentrating...that's all it took. although there is a list of conditions, it varies from doctor to doctor. if you have a local norml chapter, they might be able to provide you with a list of cannabis friendly doctors...
