Hypoxia and Medicine

Is there a term for insomnia brought about as a result of curiosity?

I rarely get a good night of sleep. This is usually because I ask myself new questions while I am half awake and feel the need to research them. Is this a personality flaw, or a medical condition? If the later, what is it called? I like this trait, so I am not looking to medicate it. I am just curious if there is a term I can use to explain this condition.

  1. :) The clinical name for this is "Intelligence". Lots of very smart people have minds that buzz all the time and many of them find they need very little sleep. If you are not suffering because of this, don't worry about it. Move the computer in to your bedroom so you don't have as far to go to find the answers to your questions.
  2. When you can not turn your brain off, especially to sleep, you have an emotional or mental problem that needs to be addressed with anti-depressants. Talk to your Dr.
