Hypoxia and Medicine

what is a list of medical conditions that allow you to get a single dorm room?

I know that there are many, many single rooms reserved for people who have medical conditions that warrant a single room... what are some of these? I have heard that allergies/insomnia are might not warrant one... if not... what will? thanks.

  1. Masturbation addiction... Just kidding. I really don't know. I just made that joke because I masturbate. Yes, I masturbate! The joke's on me!
  2. Talk to your school's Housing Office since it will vary by school and they will most likely have a full list.
  3. If you are in a wheelchair, blind, deaf, have OCD, anger issues, depression. I think it may change though in different schools..
  4. You could irradiate yourself, that would cause people to see you as a hazard. The dosage can be small, but as long as you can demonstrate you are slightly irradiated, (Geiger counter) you will have a good reason to be separated from everyone.
  5. Definitely, a highly contagious disease. Very probably, a compromised immune system which makes it easy to catch contagious diseases. Probably, Asperger's Syndrome (not a disease, but a different way of thinking and relating to other people--diagnostic criteria listed in DSM-IV)) as it is virtually impossible for someone who has it to live in close quarters with a stranger without becoming very anxious, too anxious to do college work. Probably, some conditions which require special breathing or other health equipment which take up a lot of space or make a lot of noise. Probably, some forms of mental illness. Probably, incontinence. These are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head, You will probably be happier to share a room than to have any of these conditions. It's a very creative attempt, however.
