Gas laws and baseball? why can you hit a ball farther at high altitudes?
Why can you hit a ball farther at high elevations? What do gas laws have to do with baseball? Charles Law, Boyles Law, etc.

- At higher altitudes the air is much thinner causing less drag on the baseball when hit.
- From Boyles Law Pi Vi = Pf Vf when going to higher altitudes, pressure decreases so volume increases - air is less dense so it has less friction so balls can travel farther
