t-mobile help. (uk question)?

well im 16 years old, and my mum wants to get t-mobile.. i had o2 before and i really liked it cause i had an iphone 3G. but since it was getting to expensive my mum cancelled it. so my mum wants to get t-mobile cause supposevly the plans are cheaper.. so since im still underage i have no choice than to get t-mobile.. please dont say dont get t-mobile its rubbish. cause wen i told my mum i did not want t-mobile she got mad and she said '' we are getting t-mobile and thats that period.'' what i want to know its how is da t-mobile signal trough out the uk, i travel trough out the uk alot cause i have family all over. and when i had 02 there were a lot of dead zones like in manchester where my mobile would always say searching for network... i would really appreciate it if anyone could help me out a lil bit. also i use the internet a lot. and o2's 3G network was kinda slow. i would like to know if t-mobile's 3G network is faster. thank you

1. i had t-mobile 3G and i found a network pretty much everywhere i did alot of travling around the uk because of my job sometimes its gona b a very weak signal sometimes its gona b speedy gonzalis but t-mobile isnt that bad.

3. I had a simelar problem that I wanted a g1 and clearly the easiest way to get one was straight from t mobile... I'm pleased to say that I get a good signal wherever I go! The 3g coverage is great, I probably have 3g signal about 95% of the time(the only place I don't get it is in my living room but that's no trouble cos I use wifi at home), when I am somewhere out of town and quite remote I still have a good 3g signal, and on the rare occassions that I go to 2g it's still a full signal so I never have the problem of missing calls and texts! The 3g speed is good too...loading a simple page like facebook takes about 3-5seconds and a more complex page like yahoo answers never takes more than 10-20secs, not quite as fast as on my home wifi connection but certainly as fast as any phone I've ever seen in use! 4. Different networks will have different Black Spots. OFCOM just finished as survey of all 3G coverage in UK. The O2 network came worst, the '3' and Orange networks came best. O2's data allowance on their 'unlimited' service is only 200MB, all the other networks are 500MB. You basically have to test each network where you will use them. You always have 14 days to return the SIM/cancel the contract 'if' coverage is not good enough. t-mo data used to be the best in the UK, and they have one big data advantage for data is that they don't charge extra for going over your limit. They also have the Android based G1 and now the G1 plus (the upgraded version).. the android app's store has some 400 apps, and looks to be a serious challenge to the iPhone. So don't look at it being a bad thing.. You might want to look at Orange (Dolphin)also, they have similar rates to t-mo, and some of them unlimited texts but then so does Vodafone these days. Orange also has the HTC magic (non-google branded version of G1) and some other nice models comming out. http://www.billmonitor.com/ Go compare your useage at billmonitor to see which would be cheapest for your use... but O2 works in big towns (so suprised that Manchester is a problem - may thats the iPhone !) and if everyone that you talk to is also on O2... free calls. Don't worry about T-mo, for your use they should be much better !! Never be afraid of change... it can be good ;)
