Hi, I'm 34, I work a physical labor type job so I'm not sittin around. I workout on a bowflex when I get time to do so, I should be full of energy like most of my peers but I can get plenty of recommended sleep and still feel tired as hell from morning to night. I start yawning a half hour after I wake up and seem to be able to sleep at will when I want. Physically , I feel fine, my muscles do not feel exhausted in any way and I have good endurance, I can work myself for 20 hours if I want to but mentally I'm still tired, sleepy and yawning. ..... habits, I smoke pack a day, consume a lot of caffeine from soda throughout the day, My appetite is good, I eat well, try to consume fruits and vitamins, spend a lot of time on computer when at home and I rarely go out and do anything after work because i'm too tired to. If it was not for caffeine I'd be a zombie all day. Then maybe 1 day a month I'll feel just great, full of energy that don't stop but it's rare. I've never been able to trace my symptoms down to a cause yet and I think about it all the time. Does anyone have any ideas perhaps that something medically could be wrong but something thats not severe enough that I would ever think it any kind of medical condition ? What kind of conditions could I have ? Has anyone felt this way and found out something was wrong ? I don't seem to fit the symptoms for chronic fatigue syndrom but I wonder if there anything else to explore? Even on a day off I can get up for a few hours and then lay down and sleep half the day if I let myself. I'm in my early 30's and feel 50. Any ideas, advice ?
