How can I avoid insomnia?

I moved into an apartment(5th floor) from a house and recently retired before time at 45.But my sleep habits changed and lead to accute insomnia.To be jobless is a part of the problem and the main problem is I was in better condition(air,sun light,heat..)when I was in house but now the air is dull,heat moves upward (from the lower stories)in winter and rooms seem uncomfortable(I can't get the new environment).It seems very hard or impossible to change my place now but I want to find a permanant solution for my sleep(medical case not be the 1st please) 10 points rewards for good answer besides my pray for the one who can help me.

  1. see dude it can be due to depression of losing job try to roam outside eat on time and maintain a schedule it got nothing to do with your home as when your eyes are closed you dont know what is happening also you can do meditation it will freshen your mind also have a heavy dinnerand once your eyes are closed dont open it though you cant sleep
  2. Well you can try to have better sleep hygiene. First, make your bedroom conducive for sleeping. Keep it dark and quiet. Second, eating a light snack before bedtime can stimulate sleep while a heavy meal will make it more difficult for you to sleep. Avoid eating heavy meals 3 to 4 hours before sleeping. Food and beverages that contain caffeine affects your sleep pattern. Third, taking a warm bath before going to bed will make you sleepy. Lastly, sleep only when you are feeling sleepy. Avoid vigorous exercises 6 hours before sleeping
