- Those are definitely the signs of clinical depression. However, if it is a spuratic occurance (meaning it happened out of the blue) it could also be the symptoms of being Manic-Depressive.
- Yes they are common symptoms of depression.
- YES, go and check out webmd.com and take the depression test and take the results to your family physician. Alot of people your age go thru a bout of depression, sometimes it may last a long time other times not, just talk to someone, mainly the doctor about it. Do yourself a favor, how long can you continue with doing this??? good luck
- definately. go see yr Doc if u want help coping. Sylvia UK
- Sounds like depression to me. Write a list of anything that is troubling you and try to work out how you can change these negatives and make them more positive. Talk to your parents and schedual an appointment with the doctor. Alternatively try some St Johns Wort...take a while to kick in as with anything, but works well.
- meet therapist...
- ask you question at the site, I think it will be more beneficial for you: http://psychcentral.com/
- In your situation, I don't think it's a mental condition! It's just being human. Although, if you think it might help you, you could ask for counseling. A counselor is someone you see once a week to talk about your problems. It gives you an safe outlet where you can whine as much as you want, without fearing judgment! A good counselor can also help you learn some skills to deal with your emotions, which is an ADULT skill that kids your age are in the course of learning. Drinking and cutting are temporary fixes that might actually prevent you from learning to be a functioning adult. Look at the adults around you: that's probably what they've done. Read about the issues that you see around you. It will help you understand what is going on in other people, within yourself, and how to improve/deal with the situation. You can't change other people, but you can change how you react to them. It changes the dynamics of the relationship.
- Yes. Possible clinical depression. You should speak to your local GP, a doctor or school (if you still go to school) either that or see a counselor. I had depression a couple of years ago and tried to kill myself numerous amounts of time (almost.. very almost worked) but I was found. But, please, take this advice- and don't listen to anybody else out there who is mocking you and calling you an 'emo'; 'depressed bitch' or anything else remotely offensive. Good luck - Jay
