when is it safe to bring baby to high altitudes?

my baby is 3 weeks. he will be a month on the 16th of this month. we live in palm desert [near palm springs] and it recently snowed ALOT in the mountains and my hubby wants to take me and possibly the baby to the snow. either in the palm desert area mountains or maybe big bear. is baby too young?? what age is ok??

1. it is safe when the baby is about more than 3 months old.The baby doesnt have mature enough lungs to handle the altitude if younger than 3 months.Hope it helps
