Can I be fired, during my probationary period, from my job for a medical condition?
I have an ulcer, and sometimes I have to leave work early due to being ill. One more time and I'll be let go, but can he do that though, because it's a medical condition or does it not matter becuase I'm still in a probationary period?

- In most states the employer can fire you for any reason. It's called Employment at Will. Since you are in the probationary period you are in even more danger of being fired. Are you under the care of a physician? Are you taking medication? Are you following your diet correctly? If you are doing all these things and you still are too sick to work then maybe you need to talk to your doctor. Many peole work with ulcers and don't have to leave work so many times that they are in danger of being fired! Are you just using the ulcer as an excuse to get to go home early? Sometimes you have to suck it up to get a paycheck too.
