Effect that increasing altitude has on blood-oxygen saturation?
Public Comments
- Less oxygen to breathe in so lower blood oxygen levels also higher altitude means less pressure which means that less oxygen is able to be dissolved
- Since you are at a higher altitude, there is less oxygen to be absorbed by the red blood cells, therefore there is less blood-oxygen saturation. If you are acclimated to the high altitude you don't have to worry about that.
