is pregnancy a "medical condition"?
...i have an overdue electric bill. i have EVERY intention of paying it, but lately..i've had many obstacles come up where i couldn't come up with the funds. on the bill states that medical conditions will allow them to make payment arrangements...but is pregnancy a medical condition? i am 31 weeks pregnant...

- Yes, it's considered a planned illness according to health insurance companies.
- It's a medical condition, but unless your doctor will say that you're unable to work, it wouldn't preclude you from paying your bills.
- I sure think it is!!!
- I would say yes, but I am not 100% sure. I have been in your situation before when funds were being stretched very thin and I called an asked for an extension past my due date. they did not allow me to make payments, however, they gave me more time to pay my bill. Hope this helps!
- Being that far along I would give it a try. But if you go in person and talk to your utility company they are usually willing to work with you. Other wise there are agencies that will help you pay your bill.Try your local family Independence office they should be able to help you
- Doesn't matter All you need to do is call them and tell them you want to make payment arrangements If by chance that person you are talking to is being an A^hole, just tell them "If you are not going to help me then I would like to be transferred to someone who is." Just tell them you're currently paying bills from your pregnancy appts and u/s. TRUST ME , you CAN make payment arangements All you need to do is be persistent with these people Good luck and Congrats!
