Could Homosexuality Be A Medical Condition? Plz read b4 yelling.?

A recent study found that in the homosexual man the hypothalomus is small and puffy like in a heterosexual woman. And in a lesbian the hypothalomus is large and hard like in a heterosexual man. So my question is if this study is accurate wouldnt homosexuality be a medical condition? For example if a woman is born paraplegic (unable to move) we would say that she suffers from a medical condition even if her mind is sharp. If someone is born with a 30% hearing loss (such as I) we would say that is a medical condition even though it holds no bars against the ability to learn, work, etc. So if homosexuals use a medical or anatomical excuse to say that homosexulity is not a disease isnt that in fact saying that they suffer from a medical condition? http://www.beliefnet.com/story/136/story_13638_1.html this is a link to one of many articals on this subject

2. So what is being said is that it's all part of being human. I am 6 feet tall, overweight, gay, colour blind, short tempered .pompous. Which of these are "medical conditions "? I am also fairly intelligent, can express myself adequately and work full time and hopefully a useful member of society. It is our little "flaws" that make us who we are!

5. First off: Homosexuality is not an illness nor a situation where an anatomical part does not function. Therefore it cannot be called 'a medical condition'. Since homosexuality is neither 'righter' nor 'wronger' than heterosexuality, it does not need an 'excuse'.
6. I'd be reluctant to trust the results of a very limited study like that. I's incomplete and quite probably biased IMO. What about if someone has the type of slightly different brain structure you describe and lives their whole life without a single gay experience? Are they still gay? I am of the opinion that homosexuality is perfectly natural, as it seems to take place in the animal kingdom, too. If we start to define it as a medical condition, does that not mean we are looking for a "cure"?
7. So by that logic fair-skinned people have a medical condition. So do redheads and blonds. Blue-eyed people are especially diseased. Anyone taller than 6' 2" or shorter than 5' 4" has a medical condition. And since almost all mammals except for humans and the guinea pig are able to produce their own vitamin C, we are all suffering from the same so-called medical condition. I think you can see where I'm going with this. Back to the drawing board with your logic. *
8. Everything you named has something in common...They are considered a "disability" and negatively(physically) affect the quality of life. The only sort of problem that gay people have comes from outside influences, not internal physical ones.
9. That is an interesting concept, but it leaves out a great deal of us who chose to be homosexual. I found my Best Beloved, it was love at first sight (not kidding) and it just happened that both of us were women. It might have been socially a lot easier had one of us been a man, but it didn't turn out that way. I beleive (and some disagree with me) that homosexuality can be both born and/or chosen. It all depends on the situation and the couple. Would you be so kind as to post the link to that article? It would be an interesting read. Blessings.

14. It's not a medical condition because it does not negatively effect the person. That same exact logic could be used to say that being black or being asian is a medical condition.
