What do I do?

"Major depressive disorder (depression) is not just a temporary mood, and it's not a sign of personal weakness. Depression is a serious medical condition with a variety of symptoms. Emotional symptoms can include sadness, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, restlessness, and trouble concentrating or making decisions. Physical symptoms can include fatigue, vague aches and pains, headaches, and changes in weight or sleep patterns. For some, depression can include thoughts of death or suicide." It feels like I have been depressed forever. Every time I become a little happier I tell myself "it's for real this time" but I end up just getting depressed again. My life sucks. I've been thinking about committing suicide but I am not sure how I would do it without any pain. What do I do?

  1. Sometimes I feel the same and I know what you're going through but ending up your life won't help you. Focus on what you like to do and try to find a good friend to whom you can tell him/her how you feel. That's what I did and it helps me out. Committing suicide might seems like the easier way to avoid problems but you'd hurt the people you love and I'm sure that's not what you want. Think about it before you do something you might regret.
  2. medication and therapy
  3. Keep fighting it luv, thats what I'm doing. Don't let it beat you. Speak to your doctor, get some anti-depressants that work alongside some talk therapy. Socialise more, go out for walks just to lift your mood. Listen to happy songs and tell yourself you won't be beaten by this black cloud. Some days I know it's hard, but its an ongoing battle so don't give up. Take each day as it comes, do something positive everyday that you enjoy, take time out to spoil yourself with a bath, tv program, magazine whatever helps relax you. Good luck, keep yoour chin up x
  4. start counting everything that is right with your life, and for a little bit pretend everything that is wrong, doesn't exist. For example, you are alive, you have a computer, you have internet access, you are conscious, you live in am ever improving world... everything you take for granted every day... stop taking it for granted. when you cross the street, be thankful you wernt hit by a car, or when you finish a meal, know that at least you ate today, something half a billion people can't say... Basicly, do a measurement of the pro's and cons in your life, and choose even all the little thing.. even if you add up all the little things like you stubbed your toe today, or your finger hurts, and compare it to all the things that went right, or at least didnt go as bad as they could have, at least you didn't break your toe, or at least your whole body isn't in serious pain... this helps immensely when in serious depression... however it only helps with the symptoms. if you want to really get out of it, you should help someone less fortunate than you. help out at a homeless shelter, your life will seem a lot better afterwards, and the feeling will last for days, and when it wears off, do it again, and again, and when doing that wears off, find other ways to help people... your life will improve, and you wont need drugs.
  5. anti depression pill can help. "committing suicide" these word are disturbing itz high time u consulted a psychiatrist
  6. there will always be a constant good thing in your life.................you.things may look grim, you feel depressed, low self esteem...and alone. but your you, your unique,if you weren't around, then the world would miss you individual input. always remember that
  7. you need to get out and enjoy yourself. avoid depressing thoughts and activities that might cause depression. do the things you love, consistently. laugh more. one thing that might help is exercising. it can help improve your mood. do things that make you feel good. hang out with people that make you laugh and are fun. avoid people full of drama. avoid any type of drama and joke a lot. be crazy, zany, and random. trust me, this all helps. and always remember someones life sucks more than yours and god loves everyone especially you.
