I need sleep help.........?
I need sleep help i suffer from MANY medical conditions and the medication i take causes insomnia, i could stay up for 2 days at a time and i feel horrible and i get crabby with my friends but they are very kind and understanding but some times i do push the limit, they accept my medical problems and we joke around on how sick i am, but i think they desreve more than my "my way or the high way" attidute if i dont sleep so could any one give me ideas on how to be less crabby and sleep easier

- Try melatonin. Its a natural hormone already found inside your body. It will DEFINATELY make you sleep. It is sold in walmart, walgreens, publix, online. Its just called melatonin.
- Talk with your doctor. You never said what kind of medical problems your having. If your on medicine this could be the source why your not sleeping. Most doctor's won't just give you something unless you ask and tell them what's going on in your life. If you don't talk to the doctor they have to play a guessing game with your body and they don't like that. Point out you can't sleep for days and you need some kind of aid like ambien "I used to be on this but now off". It worked wonders when I was taking it. Wishing you a good night's rest real soon.
- Do you drink lots of drinks with caffeine, stuff like coffee and pop. If so you might want to cut back on them and see if you get more sleep. I am thinking the caffeine or the sugar in the drinks are reacting with your meds and causing you to have insomnia. You could also try having a glass of boiled milk about 10 minutes before you lay down. If none of that works, then go talk with your doctor and explain to him that the meds are keeping you awake for 2 days at a time and see if there are other meds you can take that will help with your medical conditions but will let you sleep.
- Have you tried sleep medication? I never have but I know of many people with similar problems and Seroquel seems to work.
- Hi..........Just one quick thought............it worked well for me..........but relaxation tapes.....then you can get it done without lots of drugs. All the best young lady!!!
