Reversible Ischemia?

Doctor's report reads: "Anterior wall reversible ischemia" and "Normal left ventricular wall motion with ejection fraction of 64%"... what does this mean in terms of heart problems?

Public Comments

  1. "Reversible ischemia" means that an area of your heart isn't getting enough blood, likely from a narrowing in a coronary artery. It sounds like your heart is otherwise fairly normal. Ask your doctor about a heart catheterization
  2. Probable minimal left ventricular anterior wall motion abnormalities, and still with a good ejection fraction. Ischemia being reversible means that coronary artery disease (if even present) is non obstructive (no plaques or thrombi) and arterial spasm is the probable etiology. If this report's method was derived from an echocardiogram and symptoms are present, they may want to follow with an exercise thallium scan.
