Is there a medical condition caused by too much sugar? Yesterday I had catastrophic amounts of sugar. I felt like I had overdosed, and I felt so bad I couldn't move. I never got sick or anything, but it was a horrible feeling. Today I woke up feeling really shaky, weak, and dehydrated. Am I having a reaction to too much sugar in my blood? I've heard of hyperglycemia, but I don't have diabetus. What should I do?
What is name of medical condition causing hip and knee pain? A physiotherapist has diagnosed a condition that I have, but has not told me a name for the condition. Does anyone know? The curve in my lower spine is more pronounced than normal, this causes my pelvis to be more tilted than normal, and that causes my thigh muscles to be shorter than they should be. The shortening of my thigh muscles pulls my hip and knee joints out of alignment, causing pain in my hip and knee joints. There is no cure for this condition apart from physiotherapy exercises and pain management, but there has got to be a proper medical term for it with more details on the web.
What medical condition causes a person to appear, smell, and test positive for being drunk? A few years ago I heard of a condition that causes a person to appear, act, test positive and smell like they're under the influence of alcohol. I know a diabetic that is having diabetic attacks will have the appearance and odor of being drunk. This condition will fool most drug tests and will make a person test positive for being under the influence of alcohol and test positive on breathalyzer tests as well.

The condition causes a body odor and I need to point out that her personal hygene is excellent. Other people, she says, can smell it but I can't and neither can her children. Does anyone know of such a thing? And is there any help for this? She's talked to dentists, an allergy doctor and medical doctor, with no results. Help!!
What medical condition causes lack of perspiration during heavy exercise? I run 5K races and only sweat minimally around my hairline. I get very beet red all over, but no sweating. I am 50, female, take iron suplements, follow the Atkins diet, have low blood pressure and otherwise normal bloodwork. I sometimes experience exertional headaches when beginning to run.

I think i may have a medical condition causing BO? I was going to ask my friend that is on my softball team if i smell but i'm afraid that she'll think i'm weird but i went to a football game with her and i saw BO on her phone when she was texting someone. Then at her party everyone got together except for me and they were saying something and were like good code name... So should i ask her? It has to a medical condition because i'm a very healthy and have good hygeine.
Is there a medical condition that causes emo? Emo is a complicated condition. Emo is often accompanied by gay and self destructive behavior. So, is it a medical condition or a mental defect? This is not about me, this is about the emo defect. Answer the question or shut up. JJ brings up an interesting point. Whenever the gay defect is discussed, a gay guy chimes in with the "you must be one too" accusation. Gay guys can't comprehend that there are actually some straight people left. Gay and emo seem to be strongly linked.
Brain tumor or other medical condition that causes violence? Have you ever heard of any kind brain tumor or other general medical problem that could likely make a person violent? Perhaps only spurts of anger or rage? If so, what is it called formally? Exclude anything cause by drugs or mental illness per se. And before any of you wise-guys say PMS (or related) that's excluded too. This is purely academic by the way. I don't know anybody who is violent, I just have been wondering.
What medical condition would cause me to have bloodshot eyes constantly? I don't do drugs. Conditions have persisted since i was very young at least 12. What medical condition could cause this? Right foot, leg, thigh is thicker than left. Right foot is 2 sizes larger than left. Right foot, leg and thigh is less sensitive than left. Legions on spinal cord, dizziness, weakness in left leg. However, left leg is longer by 3/4 of an inch than the right one. Symptoms began around age 2. Around age 6 left foot started curving in and leg started curving too. Braces kept it from getting worse. Arms are slightly different in size but nothing significant. Please give possible answers with references. Thank you.
what medical conditions cause someone to only be able to speak for short periods of time? I’m currently researching medical conditions for a character in a story I’m writing. The character in question is a lawyer who is suddenly afflicted with a condition what means that he is unable to speak in court or use the phone for long periods of time, which then causes problems for his work. Any ideas on what sort of conditions would cause a person to be able to speak, just not for long periods of time? I was thinking severe asthma or dyspnea but does anyone else have any other ideas.

Is not having a neck an actual medical condition? Not trying to make fun of people, I'm honestly just curious. People who literally seem to have no neck whatsoever - their head seems to rest directly on their shoulders - is this an actual medical condition? What causes it? What is it called? Does it have to do with the spine?
Rare medical condition in which a person needs certain types of carbs? I was wondering if this condition exists I saw on the tv show "House". The patient on the show had lost 100lbs going on a carb free diet, but then developed unexplained health problems such as pulmonary/cardiac issues. Dr. House discovers the lady has a rare condition which caused her symptoms because she went off carbs (I believe certain types of carbs if I remember right). I was just wondering if this medical condition exists and if it does, what the name of it is? Thanks
Is there a medical condition that can explain dull thinking in the late afternoon or evening? It's weird. I can be a night owl, up until 4am comfortably reading, writing, or on the computer. But if I'm at work, closing the shop, I get so stupid about 5 or 6pm. I'm trying to decide if it is simply stress related (it is kind of crazy in that place by then) or if... well I don't know, maybe my sugar drops later in the day or something... Anyone else have that problem, or know of a medical condition that causes it, or maybe know of an herbal remedy for late afternoon stupidity?
What might be causing this medical condition? For about a week now my father has been experiencing moderate to severe dizziness, and insomnia. He's having issues tilting his head back etc. Any suggestions on what might be going on here. This was completely out of no where, and we cant seem to find a trigger. He is going to the doctor this week, but we are just curious. He's not prone to ear issues, etc. so we are puzzled as to the onset of these symptoms. He also just had Radiofrequency Ablation on his back about 2 months ago, can that cause complications?
what medical conditions cause premature ejaculation? i've read in various places that there are certain medical conditions that can cause premature ejaculation (as opposed to the usual causes of the problem) but i cant seem to find any mention of what these conditions are. and clues?
Could Demerol treat an underlying medical condition causing migraines? For many years now, I've brought a friend to the emergency ward to be treated for migraines that were brought on by a childhood stroke. The stroke left him completely without sight in one eye, and partially sighted in the other. Treatment occurs about once every ten days. The only thing that works on the migraines is demerol. Once when he was being treated he was hooked up to an EKG and I noticed that the two blips of a typical hearbeat merged into one peak every six beats. Based upon his facial expression I was able to deduce when the demerol kicked in, and noticed that the heatbeats became normal beats when this occurred. The above observations have led me to the recurring question of whether the demerol could be treating an underlying medical condition that is causing the migraines, versus merely acting as a narcotic. He was also recently diagnosed with a heart murmer, which is furthering this belief. My friend has asked about this, but gets the "Are you a Dr?" answer
What medical conditions cause numb toes? I am a 40-year-old woman living in Southern California. The temperature is in the 90's, so cold weather is not a factor. I do have joint pain - most likely caused by rheumatoid arthritis. The onset of the numb toes came with a craving for sugar, which I have never had in my entire life. I crave vanilla ice cream specifically. I have also lost a considerable amount of weight; about 30 lbs. within 3 months.
Is there a medical condition that causes a normal person not to be able to sprint very fast? I know a 13-year-old boy who is a great baseball player. He can hit the ball anywhere on the field he wants, but cannot sprint at all. When he runs around the bases, he looks like he is jogging at the same speed. He says he is running as fast as he can, but it looks like he should be able to run much faster. Is there a medical condition that could cause him to not be able to run any faster?
How does a person with a medical condition where there is no cure for get the help she needs desperately? I have a condition known as ARD (adhesive related disorder) which means adhesions (scar tissues) that adhere to your organs and can cause many medical complications such as bowel obstructions, can cause all of your internal organs to stick to each other.Since I have been diagonosed with this horrible disease, I have had a difficult time trying to work full time. I am still full time at my work but I am on FMLA intermediate, which means if the pain is too much for me to bear, than I go home and take my pain meds. There is no cure for this disease and many of them who have this end up committing sucicide because the pain can be overwhelming. I was just in the emergency room the other day and was told there was nothing they can do for me except to relieve my pain and send me home again. I have gone thru 13 surgeries and probably will have many more so that I can survive. There is a website you can go to for more info on this disease. It is www.adhesions.org.
What possible medical conditions cause miscarriage and premature labour? I have been pregnant seven times - only one time have I carried to term. Twice I've gone into labour at 25 weeks; with twins, who didn't survive, and with my youngest daughter, who is 5 months old and doing wonderfully. My other children were born at 31 and 35 weeks - they are perfectly healthy, except premature births. I've had two miscarriages. The first four years ago at 17 weeks, the second at 10 weeks, just last week :( It's been discussed with my doctor before that maybe I have some problem causing me not to carry my babies, but he hasn't been able to give me any real answers. Generally speaking, what medical conditions could cause my losses and premature births?
What medical conditions cause genital lesions that resemble acne? What could genital lesions be that resemble acne in appearance and develop heads like acne does? Could it simply be acne without any more serious condition causing it? Are there any sores that develop from a STI or STD that resemble acne? How much should one worry about these lesions that are very few, only occasionally painful, never itchy and leave small scars?

Medical Condition? My boyfriend is hot all the time. Everyone else in the room will be sitting under a blanket or at least at a comfortable temperature and he is sweating. He's not overweight, eats pretty healthy, and is very active. He wakes up every night tossing and turning because he is so hot. (The room is kept around 70 degrees.) Does anyone know if it could be a medical problem causing this? I'm thinking he should go see his doctor.
Is there a medical condition in men that causes hot flashes? My BF is hot all the time even his skin is hot to the touch. Our house is 60 degrees and he is burning up and sweating. I touch his skin and he is very warm to the touch. I am wondering if this sounds like it could be medically related. I have never met anyone who's body feels so hot all the time. Sometimes he says he feels like he is cooking on the inside.
What Medical Conditions Can Cause Weight Gain? I've recently gained a significant amount of weight for no apparent reason (haven't been eating any more or differently) and I'm concerned I may have a health condition that's causing the weight gain. I want to go in to get some blood tests done but don't know which tests to ask for. I know Thyroid problems and Diabetes can cause weight gain, which I'll get tested, but I'm wondering what other medical conditions can cause weight gain? Thanks.

Is there a medical condition that causes bad handwriting? I don't know what to do about my handwriting. I have tried all my life to have neat handwriting but it always looks like a 10 year old. I don't think I'm stupid but it makes me look like an idiot. The letters are readable but when I have to take exams for my law course, I'm not sure if they will see my writing and assume I'm an idiot from the way it looks so give me low marks? Is there some kind of medical condition that causes people to have handwriting that makes them look stupid? All my friends at my school had nice handwriting and I used to try all the time to practise but nothing worked and I don't know if there's a reason for it? I need to know. Maybe I'm demented but don't realise or something? It has been alright so far as all my law assignments have been typed, but the last one has to be hand written. Would my doctor think I'm wasting his time if I go because my handwriting is bad?

Is this a medical condition? Whenever anyone asks me how things are going for me, my whole emotional "system" shuts down. No matter how much emotional pain I may feel at all other times of the day, if someone asks me how I'm feeling, I suddenly can't feel the pain or remember what's causing it. Sometimes I can feel the crying inside, but it's like an 80 foot thick wall goes up, and the crying won't come to the outside. I was reading tonight about a real medical condition that causes difficulties in expressing yourself verbally to other people. Is there a condition in which you can't express your emotions?
medical condition? Was wondering if anyone experiences sharp pains on the left side of their chest? do you know what this is and what causes it?
Is there any medical condition that would cause a very dry mouth and very dry skin? Up until two months ago I was very proud of my skin because of its smooth texture, color and the fact if I forgot to put some sort of lotion or cream it wouldn't matter my skin always remain supple and glowing. However lately my skin has these white lines going through the skin and my skin is soooo.. dry no matter what I put on it it seems as if my skin drinks it up. My mouth is the same way. Its not like I'm thirsty all the time its just that my mouth is dry and even when I drink something its still very dry. Is there something going on that I should be alarmed over?
