As blood passes by active muscle, the percent saturation of hemoglobin is generally (more)? As blood passes by active muscle, the percent saturation of hemoglobin is generally _______________ because ____________________. A) high; hemoglobin has released all of its oxygen to the muscle for generation of needed ATP via the Citric Acid Cycle. B) low; hemoglobin has released all of its oxygen to the muscle for generation of needed ATP via the Citric Acid Cycle. C) high; hemoglobin has released all of its oxygen to the muscle for generation of needed ATP via the Electron Transport Chain. D) low; hemoglobin has released all of its oxygen to the muscle for generation of needed ATP via the Electron Transport Chain.
Is low oxygen saturation causing this? I've been having alot of trouble with wheezing and a cough that won't go away for over 2 months now...i'm 21, and i went to the university doctor. They think its my asthma but my singular, advair and albuterol haven't really cleared it up. When i was at the doctors they checked my oxygen saturation and found it was only 85 percent...its not supposed to be lower than 95 percent, and for about a week now the top layer or two of skin has been peeling off my finger tips......is there anyyy chance this could be related to poor oxygen saturation over a prolonged period of time?.....I don't have really dry skin or anyting..and i've been using lotion too....

severe asthma attacks over the last few days and im really scared? help? i went to the hosiptal and like they said my stats were fine and stuff so it wasnt as severe as it could be and my oxygen saturation was 100 percent. but i used to suffer from panic attacks but not of this kind we're i felt like i couldnt breathe. so this is new and now im on steroids that i was prescribed to in 2006 and i went to see the doctor today and i said id taken 2 over a period of 2 days and he said thats fine but i forgot to mention that fact...the 2 years old fact. anyway my air ways feel clear but im having bad anxiety about it now. you knwo the ususal fast heart rate. fast breathing. feeling like you cant beathe *its not as bad as when i had the asthma* im scared its gonna come back or its never gonna go away or im gonnna die from the steroids or forboding things...how can i calm myself down? im starting a new school in 7 days so that next wednesday and im anxious because i dont want ot be anxious when i go ther. cause whe i first satrted high school is when i had those panic attacks and i missed alot of school and got teased about it...and im gonna be alone again. which i dont mind but it'd be nice to have someone there that i can hang with who will make me feel safe. im going into year 9 btw. helpp. ive been councelled before so i knwo hwo to breathe right but it jsut feels liek these panic attacks are differnt. well they are.! before i was feeling like i was gonna puke 24/7 and i was tense and evrything! i need to get some sleep tonight cause ive been deprived for about 3 nights now. but im just so anxious. and i dont want my family to go to sleep cause i get mroe anxious then! when im up by myself? help? and i forgot to mention im doing my nervous habit thing...its this weird thing i do with my breathing...which isnt heklping but it releives anxiety...for the moment. and im a little bit shakey...whih is normal when im anxious...
Please Help needed fast..? 1. predict the effect that increasing altitude would have on blood oxygen saturation 2. Arterial blood is about 98 percent saturated with oxygen. What are two conditions that could result in lower oxygen saturation? Please help.. Thank you so much
WTF happened to me!!!? (brain damage)? friday night i popped 2 mg of diazepam, having a lower tolerance than i can remember, then saturday i got into the opiates. in the morning i drank two medium sized tasmanian pods, steeped into tea, to which i repeated around 6 that night. at 9pm i drank a tea spoon of codeine/promethazine, and at 10 i had two more. i was totally ****** in a good way. my friend was staying over and he had just got up a few hours before hand, and accepting that he wouldn't be able to fall asleep, kept an eye on me to make sure he didn't enter a coma. i woke up at 6, my friend said i was totally fine and we went out for coffee. i had not a hint of cyanosis at 1pm, and my breathing was pretty much back to normal. i had work at 3 so i hopped in a hot shower, hopping out into a steamy bathroom covered in mirrors. the firsti looked at shocked me, my lips had become a meager shade of pink/blue, and my fingers looked like clubs swung at the dawn of man!!!! the entire ******* night and day up until that point (7 hours awake llready) i was totally cool, only to take a shower and completely lose it upon finishing. i was soberng up when it happened, and not even nodding anymore. i live with my mom who agreed my nails looked blue, then i had to go to work (where more people agreed) where i felt as though a squirrel were stuck in his throat (couldn't breathe properly), so he left to go to the e.r. when i got to the emergency room they said my blood oxygen saturation level was 100 percent, and that a temp change may have been responsible?! bullshit. how the **** did this happen? my blue lips disappeared seconds after i got out of the shower but the fingers lingered. do you think this level of oxygen deprivation hurt my brain/killed brain cells??? i was definitely breathing in the shower ... i just took that shower and noticed the exfoliated broken skin around my lips after a hot shower resembles pictures of cerulean lips iv'e seen online... though again my fingernails were def turning an ice cold porsche blue. could i have had vasoconstriction without it affecting my head? i ask because my tips still looked a little purple after the nurse said my oxygen level was perfect? how long does that blue discoloration take to get rid of if one starts breathing heavily?

Algebra Help needed!!!1? 1- The oxygen saturation level of a river is found by dividing the amount of dissolved oxygen the river water currently has per liter by the dissolved oxygen capacity per liter. If the river currently has 7.3 milligrams of dissolved oxygen per liter of water and the dissolved oxygen capacity is 9.8 milligrams per liter, What is the oxygen saturation level, to the nearest percent. 2- If a marble is randomly chosen from a bag that contains exactly 8 red marbles, 6 blue marbles, and 6 white marbles, what is the probability that the marble will not be white? 3- So far, a student has earned the fallowing scores on four 100 points tests this grading period:65,73,81 and 82. What score must the student earn on the fifth and last 100 point test of the grading period to earn an average grade of 80 for the 5 tests. 75,76,78,99 OR THE student can't earn an average of 80. Please show me the process not just the answers. At least tell me how todo them so I can learn to solve those. Thanks a lot!!1
Infant Tylenol Recall, daughter was very sick, they want her medical records? My daughter was in the hospital back in the middle of February for RSV, pneumonia, an ear infection and bronchiolitis (all kind of went together,) for a week mainly because of low oxygen saturations (in the lower 80 percents.) Then a month later she was admitted again for everything except the RSV again and bronchitis because of low oxygen saturations, after a week of being hospitalized there, we were transferred to our state's children's hospital via ambulance. With that background, about a month later, Tylenol recalled all of its infant pain medicines, Tylenol and Motrin or most of it. 3 out of 4 bottles that I currently had been giving her during this whole time were recalled and who knows if any of the other 4 that had been gone already were recalled. Today I just got a envelope in the mail with forms asking for my permission/signature to release all of her medical records. I'm not convinced at all that they had anything to do with each other, but I feel like I maybe should talk to an attorney before signing anything? Whats your opinion? Yes, it is from Johnson&Johnson's benefit risk management. I already threw out the tylenols a while ago, but I did get my refund for them. She did have diarrhea and vomiting, but it was from all the medicine she was on.
did i damage my brain? this morning i thought i may have stopped breathing because my fingernails took a grey blue appearance and i needed to "test" myself to see if oxygen was responsible, as brain damage rightly makes me paranoid. so i made my breathing very shallow, still getting a small breath or two every 6-10 seconds, but making sure to exhale completely for several minutes, and then was to check on my fingernails for cyanosis. when the first experiment yielded no conclusion, i repeated probably 3 more times, in shorter intervals. when i was marginally satisfied that my skin color had little to do with my air intake, i put my finger in an oximiter (measure blood air saturation to give my mind peace). i started to breathe as i had during the questioned period (and how i breathed thereafter) for a few minutes and saw my oxygen level go from 99% to 98%, on a constant staircase downward. i continued this for a few minutes, managing to spike my o2 levels to 94% or possibly lower for a few infinite seconds, to realize my brain may have been sufficiently deprived of oxygen for some time. i panicked and to make sure my oximiter wasn't buggy, retested myself 3 or 4 more times, bringing my blood sat levels to 95 and 94 percent, still now believing each of these tests on the validity of the oximiter caused more brain cells o die, even if i was only that low for no more than 5 seconds. in total i spent a fair amount of time not breathing today, and by textbook definition a fair amount of time hypoxic, with apnea. do you think i lost brain cells or caused brain damage from my neurotic worsening of the scenario which initiated today's events? thank you okay, do you think i lost enough brain cells to ever realize it?
